Internet Query EngineTM Platform
InterQuery has been a pioneer in the delivery of real-time views and virtual data aggregation even since its founding in 1998. It has developed technology that enables data to be accessed in real-time, regardless of location or format. The Internet Query Engine™ (IQE) provides a platform for delivering information from the web the deep web, and relational databases. Based on industry standards (XML, J2EE, SOAP, HTTP, HTML, JDBC) that guarantee long-term stability and protection of our customers' investments, the technology is flexible, extensible and scalable, and can be used in a variety of operating environments, including leading operating platforms, industry-leading Application Servers and Enterprise Information Portals.
The IQE Platform allows its users to view heterogeneous databases and applications as views of unified sources of data (in relational terms, unions and joins of data), regardless of location, format and access protocol. The IQE Platform solves many of the problems associated with large-scale data warehousing and current information delivery needs including:
- Heterogeneity of data sources
- High re-usability
- Securely reaching outside the enterprise
Heterogeneity of Data Sources
The IQE is capable of handling data from a variety of sources, such as:
- ODBC/JDCB-compliant relational databases, including Oracle, DB2, Sybase, Informix and SQL Server.
- Any XML-compliant data sources from inside or outside the enterprise.
- Any HTML-compliant data sources.
- Any flat-file data sources.
- Legacy data sources through gateways and third party connectors
High Re-usability
Once a data source has been enabled to participate in the data integration effort through the InterQuery technology, it can be re-used over and over again in other information delivery efforts, inside and outside of the Enterprise. And as a by-product of InterQuery's solution, the data source is now XML-enabled.
Securely Reaching Outside the Enterprise
When reaching data outside of the firewall, the IQE preserves existing security measures by supporting standard security mechanism such as authentication, signatures, encryption, and access rights.
